The Life Bond
Summary: Harry saved Hermione from the troll, but wound up in a coma. Hermione wished her savior could wake up. Who knew an innocent kiss would have such magical ramifications? Future Harmony.
Warnings: Slight violence, mild language, bonding, alternate reality.
Notes: This story starts during Hallowe'en of 1991. The troll scene is different - more serious and slightly violent. Despite circumstances thrusting Harry and Hermione together, they will not develop any romantic feelings during this story. They're only eleven, and I don't see anything romantic happening realistically. They will, however, become romantically involved during their third/fourth year.
Considering the differences in the troll scene, it is safe to say that canon will not be strictly followed and thus giving this an AU warning. They're still in Hogwarts and the timeline will have similarities (which is why I think an AR - Alternate Reality - warning would have been better), but ultimately, the slight differences impact everything drastically.
